The Travers House is a ca 1879 George Champlin Mason designed historical treasure. This recipient of the Doris Duke Preservation award is an rare survivor of a period of Newport history. For much of the 20th century this architectural gem has been used as a shop, apartment house, tavern and office and was meticulously restored in 2005.
